If you’ve just joined the Colleen Hoover train and aren’t sure where to start, you can’t go wrong with “It Ends With Us.” It has the most reviews and is an inspirational story that anyone would enjoy.
The story deals with themes of jealousy, generational trauma, and love triangles. As main character Lily falls in love with the handsome surgeon Ryle, her first love, Atlas, returns to center stage.
Note: This book deals with the themes of physical abuse.
If you’re a reader drawn to dark thrillers, we recommend starting with the standalone page-turner “Verity.”
This book seamlessly blends romance and horror and is about two writers – Lowen Ashleigh and Verity Crawford. Lowen is asked to write Verity’s final book, but many obstacles stand in his way.
Note: This thriller is about abuse, violence and grief.
“Reminders of Him” is a heartbreaking story of Kenna Rowan, who has just been released from prison and is on a mission to make things right but, above all, to find her young daughter.
If you fancy a juicy read that features love and slow-burn serendipity, November 9 is the book for you. The book follows Fallon and Ben as they live entirely separate lives (except November 9 each year). While the plot is entertaining on its own, the final plot twist will leave you wanting more.
“It Starts With Us” is Hoover’s latest and most anticipated book release after the series’ first novel, “It Ends With Us” (2016), exploded onto TikTok earlier this year.
Without giving too much away, the novel follows Lily and her new life after the events of the first novel.
“Ugly Truth” may be Colleen Hoover’s saddest book to date, so make sure you have a fresh box of tissues before you start this one.
The novel follows Tate Collins and airline pilot Miles Archer, who get off on the wrong foot. With the only thing they can agree on being their mutual attraction, they drop everything and keep it simple: sex only. Their arrangement could be surprisingly seamless as long as Tate can stick to the only two rules Miles has for her.
“Regretting You” captures family drama, the complicated nature of mother-daughter relationships, and the different ways generations go through grief in one beautifully written sequence. The book follows Morgan Grant and her teenage daughter, Clara, after a tragic accident with themes of redemption, second chances and, of course, a few steamy scenes mixed in.
In this young adult book, Beyah Grim comes of age after a tragic death when she is forced to spend the summer in Texas with her estranged father. There, she meets Sampson, a wealthy kid who shows her a different way of life.
Last but not least, “Hopeless”. Although Hoover is known for her contemporary romances, she certainly didn’t let this young adult novel down.
Main character Skye falls for Dean Holder, your typical bad boy with secrets. Except that one of his secrets concerns his past.
Note: This book deals with the topics of child abuse.
