Alex Temblador, founder and host of LitTalkwill be making an appearance at the flagship Half Price Books this Sunday, September 18 as part of Hispanic Heritage Month,
half outlaw is the story of one woman’s quest to find a better future while struggling with a tumultuous past. It is also Temblador’s first adult novel.
The Latino protagonists are essential in Temblador’s workincluding his award-winning Secrets of Casa Rosada. Temblador has won several awards for his writing, including the 2019 Tejas Foco Young Adult Fiction Award from the National Association for Chicana and Chicano Studies and the 2018 Best of YA Books from Kirkus Reviews.
Temblador will join Samantha Mabry, neighbor of Lake Highlands and author of Tigers, not girls, for a book signing and discussion at 1 p.m. The two will also discuss their culture in their work in a discussion moderated by Becky Gomez of Half Price Books.
