Although there are literally hundreds of books on my “must read” list, I can’t help but turn to the latest releases that other readers are already predicting as the best books of the year. Whether it’s a new work by a favorite author or a debut that’s been picked up by celebrity book clubs, readers are already finding their favorites from 2022 so far.

To make this list, we looked at the most popular books on Good reads. Goodreads is the world’s largest online platform for readers to rate, review and recommend their favorite books to friends and the community. All of these recommendations were published in 2022 and are ranked by how often they were added to readers’ “Want To Read” shelves.
